I'd be drawing some Generator Rex fanart. This is mostly just a bunch of character study models, but it's pretty much a sign of upcoming art. I usually draw myself a reference sheet for how to convert characters into my own style, so that I won't have to figure it out when I'm working on something more complicated.
Rex and Noah got more page space dedicated to them mostly because they're incredibly expressive and, as such, fun to draw. Most of the expressions are actually referenced from the episode Guy vs. Guy
where the quality of animation really jumped up in terms of facial expressions.
Holiday was pretty easy to draw, actually, but Six gave me no end of trouble. I'm just not used to drawing that short hair, never mind how he seems to have two, maybe three, expressions, and that the smile I drew on him was much more subtle on the reference screenshot I used (from the Ben 10 crossover if anyone's curious).
Caesar, Caesar. I'm going to murder
your hair in its SLEEP. What's with the anime hair, seriously? I mean I like looking at it, but it was so hard to draw. Kenwyn was much simpler, thank goodness.
Overall, Van Kleiss isn't terribly hard to draw, I just have trouble getting his eyes right. So he might look different in later drawings of him. Meanwhile Circe didn't need much tweaking to get into my style so she'll probably keep looking like this.
Breach is a personal favourite of my brother's, so I used the episode Lions and Lambs
as reference for her, because she actually looks pretty cute in that episode, to showcase her character development. I don't really like drawing characters with their hair hanging in their face like that, but I think the result here is nice enough.
Lastly, there's Black Knight. I wanted to pick two completely opposing expressions for her, so there's one of her being incredibly smug and malicious as well as one of her actually being caught off-guard for once. Both expressions were seen on her in the episode Black and White
Next time I'll post something other than doodle pages, promise~
